Congratulations
Rhiannon Snipe who was awarded a Sports Medicine Australia (SMA) research grant
last week.
An Accredited
Practicing Dietitian and Accredited Sports Dietitian, Rhiannon is currently
completing her PhD in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Rhiannon
received the SMA research grant, valued at $2000, for investigating the impact
of internal cooling methods during exertional heat stress on preventing
gastrointestinal distress and endotoxaemia-related (a form of blood poisoning) causes of heat stroke.
